Corsair’s $1,499 Gaming laptop is out and about with a bang
The price of a gaming laptop is usually a key factor in deciding whether to spend your hard-earned cash.
That’s because it’s often the only price tag that matters.
That doesn’t apply to a new gaming laptop from Corsair.
Corsair has finally released the R9 Gaming, a 10-inch, gaming laptop with an impressive $1.99 price tag.
The R9 features a 1TB Crucial M500 hard drive and a Core i7 processor, a 15-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS screen, a 3.5-megapixel front camera, a USB 3.0 port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and dual USB 3 ports.
It also features a Corsair CoolFire gaming laptop keyboard and a Corsair K70 PSU.
The laptop also has a 1080p display, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, and an Intel Core i5 processor.
The gaming laptop features a 120GB SSD, and the R8 gaming laptop will come with a 128GB SSD and 128GB PCIe SSD, Corsair says.
The Corsair R9 comes in black, silver, and red, with a 4K display.
It weighs 4.8 pounds (2.2 kilograms) and runs on an Intel i5-7200U quad-core processor.
It has an 8-inch display, a 4-inch 1080p IPS display, and a 2-megabit Ethernet jack.
Corsair says the laptop is compatible with a variety of operating systems, including Windows 10.
It’s also available with a 3,000mAh battery, and you can buy it with a two-year warranty, Corsair said.
Corsair’s R9 is out in the U.S. for $999.99, while the R7 is $1 in Canada, $899.99 in the UK, and $199.99 internationally.
Corsair is also releasing the R5 Gaming, which has a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display and a 3-megabyte memory controller.
It is also available for $799.99.
Corsair said the R4 Gaming is out later this month.
The company said the laptop will be available for pre-order on Oct. 2 for $1199.99 (Canadian and UK) or $1299.99 ($1,299 in Canada and UK).
The company has been making the R series of gaming laptops for the past year, starting with the R1 Gaming and R5 series in the summer of 2016.
The new R series is more powerful, faster, and more affordable, said John Leggett, CEO of Corsair.
“We are bringing the R Series of laptops to market with a unique blend of performance and affordability.”
For $499, the new R Gaming comes with an Nvidia GeForce 980 Ti graphics card, a 256GB SSD with a 1 TB hard drive, and two USB 3 port.
The notebook has an Intel HD Graphics 620 processor and a 16-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) IPS display.
The RAM comes in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB configurations.
The 13-inch gaming laptop comes with a GeForce GTX 980, a 512GB SSD plus a 1.2TB hard drive.
It costs $699.99 and ships Oct. 3.
The 3-inch R gaming laptop ships Oct 30.
The 12-inch PC comes with the same Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics card as the R gaming model.
It starts at $799 and will ship Oct. 30.
Corsair plans to sell the R6 Gaming and the 8- and 10-core R gaming models separately, with the 6- and 8-core models starting at $899 and $999 respectively.
Corsair also plans to launch the R3 Gaming later this year.
The desktop R7 model comes with 8GB of RAM, a 1,024-core Intel Core M processor, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 1TB of PCIe SSD storage, a 720p IPS touchscreen display, 1GB of GDDR5 RAM, and Windows 10 Pro.
It will be released later this summer.
Corsair will also sell the new gaming model R9, which is a 12- and 15- inch gaming laptop, and R3 gaming laptop.
It comes with AMD’s Radeon R9 290X graphics card and Intel’s Core i3-7100 processor.
