How to use Logitech’s mouse software to track your personal devices
Microsoft is trying to find ways to better track users around the home.
Last week, the Redmond, Washington-based company unveiled a new tool that it says will help users better manage their personal devices, but it also revealed that its users might want to do a little more to stay connected to the Internet and its services.
Logitech’s Mouse Software for Windows 10 will allow Windows 10 to automatically turn on or off a “home hub,” or virtual hub that allows users to connect to their personal computers via a wireless connection and make updates.
Once a home hub is set up, users can access the Windows Update app and receive notifications about updates.
If the user is logged into their Windows account, they can also manually update their device.
Logiks mouse app has been around since 2012 and was first made available in 2015, and the company said that it will continue to improve the software.
Microsoft is hoping that this update will help it to bring the software to other platforms and devices.
“As our goal for the first time, the Windows 10 update for Logitech mouse is to provide users with the most robust and secure access to Windows Update, so that they can continue to update as needed, without having to worry about losing connectivity or having their personal device lost,” Microsoft said in a statement.
“As a result, users will be able to take full advantage of their Windows 10 experience by automatically connecting to Windows Updates whenever possible. “
